Animal Assisted Activities and Learning with TCM

Harnessing the Wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Animal Acupressure Assisted Learning

In our TCM approach we integrate the principles and techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to enhance the transformative power of animal-assisted experiences.

Here’s a glimpse into our approach:

1. Acupressure and Acupuncture Points: TCM recognizes specific points on the body that can be stimulated to promote healing and balance. In this exploration of point locations and functions we introduce acupressure points relevant to the functioning of the animal in their current environment and challenges observed in the present moment. Participants learn how to engage with these points with informed interactions with animals, promoting relaxation, emotional release, and energetic alignment.

2. Meridian Mapping: We utilize TCM’s meridian system to identify energy pathways in the body and understand how they relate to specific emotions, organs, and areas of well-being. By incorporating meridian mapping into our learning sessions, we help participants gain a deeper understanding of their energetic imbalances and how they manifest in well being, injury and disease prevention.

3. Five Element Theory: TCM’s Five Element Theory categorizes energy into five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), each associated with specific qualities and aspects of health. We incorporate this theory into our session protocols through understanding of the Five elements Energetics functions and their creation and control cycles of relationship. This theory allows participants to explore their elemental imbalances and how they influence their health and healing and overall well-being.

4. Chi Cultivation and Movement: TCM emphasizes the cultivation and flow of Chi (energy) for optimal health. We integrate TCM-inspired exercises and movements into our retreat activities to encourage participants to engage in Chi cultivation practices and experience the benefits of enhanced energy flow and balance.

5. Self Help Guidance: TCM places great importance on nourishing the body ,mind and spirit with appropriate foods ,herbs and nutrients. We encourage mindfulness practices to help support overall well-being.

We offer support through TCM principles for promoting overall  holistic health for both animals and humans.

Our participants will delve into a profound journey of self-discovery, emotional healing, and energetic alignment, combining the transformative power of TCM, Animal Acupressure, Tui Na massage.

WE develop the skills you NEED through Observation, Knowledge and Informed Intentional Touch.
